Havasupai

From March 28 – 30, 2018, two friends and I scored a coveted permit down to Havasupai!

For those of you who don’t know, Havasu Creek is a tributary of the Colorado River, located deep in the Grand Canyon.  A 10-mile hike each way (or a 15 minute helicopter ride) will take you deep into the Havasupai reservation, known for its crisp “blue-green” water.  The striking blue color of the creek contrasts with the red canyon walls in a way that you can only truly appreciate once you are down there.  The whole area is crazy magical, and it honestly feels out of this world.

Here you will find the things that I found to be most important in preparing for and completing my hike. If you have any questions whatsoever, please either leave them in a comment below or email me at meghikes1@gmail.com.  If I get enough questions, I’ll put together a working FAQ page!
