Raw, untouched, Southern California beauty 🌊
At 5am on Saturday morning, I awoke to “Travel Information for March 20, 2021: ROUGH SEAS ON SATURDAY DAY TRANSPORTATION CANCELLED CAMPERS GO AT 11:00 FROM VENTURA CALL XX FOR DETAILS.” Due to rough seas, all day transportation had been canceled, and all campers were to depart at 11am instead of 8am, 9am, or 12pm. I briefly thought about calling it, but mama didn’t raise no wimp (although she might have raised a fool), so I was officially on my way. Fortunately the Dramamine and the boat that the captain himself described as a “torture chamber” did their jobs and I made it to the island! Turns out that all 100 times that the captain cut off the engine so that we wouldn’t ramp off into the ocean abyss were all worth it, because this sunset was one of those that we’ll literally never forget. Fabulous weekend on the Channel Islands!
Had an eastern facing flight this morning from Seattle to Burbank and had first-row seats to this view of the Sierra!! So many familiar [rock] faces in one picture... can you pick out anything?? đź‘€
